EWMA 2013 in Copenhagen, Denmark, is set to become the best-attended wound care conference ever held in Europe.
Two things are attracting the approximately 3000 wound care professionals: the quality of the daily symposia, and the introduction of new, more patient focused wound care products.
As an official conference sponsor, Mölnlycke Health Care will be holding two satellite symposiums led by world renowned wound care professionals.
The first symposium will focus on NPWT (Negative Pressure Wound Therapy) and Safetac technology. Delegates are encouraged to attend to find out how pain and trauma can adversely affect patient quality of life and treatment costs.
The three keynote speakers will lead discussions on the clinicians’ view of a patient’s pain and trauma experiences, whether their cost can be quantified, and if price per unit really is the best guide when choosing dressings.
During the second symposium, attendees will learn how multi-layered soft silicone foam dressings minimise the four main intrinsic factors that contribute to the development of pressure ulcers.
The results of recently completed trials showing the clinical effectiveness of these dressings as an adjunct to standard pressure ulcer prevention strategies will also be discussed.
Mölnlycke Health Care will be dedicating each day of the conference to a specific care scenario - Chronic Wound Care, Pressure Ulcer Treatment and Acute Wound Care - to mirror the symposium presentations.
Attendees can familiarise themselves with the new additions to the Mepilex range of dressings, as well as meet the keynote speakers from each day’s symposium in booth presentations.
Never before has there been such a dedicated effort to share, debate and educate attendees on the latest knowledge and developments in wound care management.
With its internationally renowned speakers, exciting new patient-orientated wound care products and great networking opportunities, EWMA 2013 promises to be an event that shouldn't be missed.
However, for those healthcare professionals who would like to attend but can't, all post-symposium information will be available at www.molnycke.com
